The Cumbria group is part of Endurance GB the national body for endurance riding in England and Wales.If you are a member of EGB and live in Cumbria,you will automatically have been assigned to the Cumbria group unless you elected to join another group.If you are not a member of EGB but live in our area and are interested in finding out more about endurance riding then why not come and join us on some of our social and training rides

Our association

We are a small but very friendly group and we have members of all ages.

 

Kath McGhee one of our lady riders who competes at National level and is looking forward to achieving 8000k,her Horse Foxghyll's Folly was last years Veteran Champion and has also won the title this year at the ripe old age of 20 years young.

 

 

 

We also have our male riders.Chris Willis, pictured here on his old lad - Burlington Bertie, is out most weekends riding with his wife on pleasure rides . Even though he only does pleasure rides, he clocked up enough mileage to be awarded the "best Male Rider" in the 2010 season, showing that you don't have to be an advanced level star to achieve in our group. As you can see it is a sport for all

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also have a lady rider,Barbara Stephenson who has ridden pleasure rides side saddle so what ever your level or riding preference you will be made very welcome and will certainly see some beautiful scenery in Cumbria

And not forgetting our non riding members our crews
